KRS QUICK TECH TIP: 🚨😲🚨The Hacker Could Be Sitting Right Next To You!!🚨😲🚨 Here’s the Scoop! πŸ‘‡

Hey everyone, Chris Gaffney, back for another very quick weekly tech tip video for KRS IT. Today we're going to be talking about not just cybersecurity, but physical security and how that plays in the workplace.

OK, so every week we pretty much preach the same thing, right? Cybersecurity, cybersecurity, CYBERSECURITY! So we don't really talk about physical security so much. And here's what I mean by that. A little story. Last week, I had lunch with a friend of mine. He works for a large law firm. I'm not going to say which one, but when I went in there, I noticed something that was kind of funny. It's a shared building that they actually work out of. And while everyone is very up on cybersecurity, and I know what they're actually running and the platform that they're on, and the company does take it very serious. Which is good. But I noticed a lot of their employees basically leave their laptops open, and they go to lunch and they go do their thing, and there's anyone can basically come by and your passwords,… it's open and you don't even need a password. So I thought that was kind of funny that the company that's so up on cybersecurity, would be so loose on physical security. Because I think it's just something that we forget about. So just a friendly reminder from KRS IT, when you leave your desk, always close your computer, alright. Put your lock screen on, go do what you have to do.

We also see a lot of people coming in and out of buildings for that use badges. They don't even know the person behind them. The one person will click it, they'll walk in, stranger falls them right behind. So, these are a lot of ways that companies are getting hacked nowadays. So in 2024, we got to be cognizant of all this kind of stuff. Keep it in the back of your mind and just try to stay safe out there. But we thought we'd point that out, since a lot of companies seem to be missing this key item.

Alright! So that's about it for this week. If you guys have anything you want to mention or any questions, comments, always feel free, info@krsit.com. We like to go through it and keep open communication with everyone. Alright guys! Take care and talk to you next week! Peace!
